Ontario's Voyageur Provincial Park (formerly known as Carillon Provincial Park) on the south shore of the beautiful Ottawa River 15km east of Hawkesbury was established in 1966. It is a recreational park open for camping and day-use activities each year from May to Thanksgiving , and day-use only throughout the winter season for cross-country skiing. A total of 416 campsites are located in 3 campgrounds near the river.
There are a few maintained hiking trails in the campground area but none in the high point area of the park, which is located at its very southwest corner, inside the 65 meter closed contour.
