Not sure how Terrapin Point at 50 plus got named the island HP when there are two other closed contours above elevation 50 plus on this same island far to the south. The two points are literally side by side at this location and the top is larger in area and steeper in side slope which would suggest a potentially candidate points higher than Terrapin Point. Their formation on the fore-dune side of the island suggests that they were formed by different geological conditions and timing. The connecting saddle is about elevation 15 to 20 but depending on which location (Terrapin or here) is actually higher, the taller peak should be measured from the ocean level. Setting this one as potentially the taller of the two the prominence would be 50 feet. Someday, perhaps a survey will tell but for now, two remote and interestingly tall sand dune formations providing two candidates to go investigate for the eager and adventurous.
