There are several places in the vast Ocala NF that appear to reach above the 150 foot contour. I found only two candidate places that have the third ring above 150 indicating ground at 165 +. Another candidate spot is the hill at SFR 50 and SFR 88 but the 165 + is no larger an area there too. Another just south of SFR 97 and the jeep trail. There are several 165 + contours but I can not find a 170. According to the County HP site the highest point in the Ocala NF is at elevation 192 into the Farles Lake USGS map by Greens's Waterhole far far to the south. Thus, this appears to be the highest ground in the northern portion of the NF and historically held the Eureka Lookout Tower as shown on the USGS map. It also has access directly the highest ground. Next Nearest higher neighbor is far west in the cluster of Marion County HPs and the lowest saddle between this is the nearby Ocklawaha River below contour 25. Call it 25.
