River cuts the limestone mountain range in half with a USGS elevation of Kentucky River given at 468 (for the col) and the next highest neighbor is the limestone cliffs to the NW exceeding 800 feet. This small city of Frankfort Park is dedicated to the fort encampment of Civil War soldiers here on this strategic bluff adjacent to the Kentucky River supporting the City of Frankfort. The City has made the entire Fort Hill into a public park. There are two candidate HPs and I marked the one with an apparent BM but the second could easily by the HP and fortunately the trails in the park lead to both.
