|Ile d'Entree a small all grassland Island (4km long X 2.5km wide) is the only community in the archipelago of Iles-de-la-Madeleine that is not attached by land or bridge. Today the Island is an Anglophone lobster fishing community with approx 126 people.|
The western half, fenced-off with an electrified fence, is home to all the Hills.
The Highest Point on the Iles-de-la-Madeleine, lives up to its name "Big Hill" given by the locals. Most references puts the elevation at 174 meters, however the spot elevation on Quebec's Natural Resources Topographic Map (11N05-200-0102), 1CM = 200M with 10M contours, is given as 169M. All the entered data comes from these Maps.
The BM on the summit embedded in a concrete pedestal reads "Geodetic Survey of Canada", unfortunately without an elevation or reference number.
