Peak Petrovsky was the name used by local climbers, otherwise not verified. the peak lies just southwest of the Achit Tash Base Camp used for Peak Lenin. avalanche on Peak Lenin Friday the 13th, 1990 killed estimated 40-60 climbers. our groups accent of Peak Lenin was delayed several days and we were at the base camp at the time of the avalanche
