The Great Western divide in Sequoia has a brutal western approach from Cliff Creek Trail that ascends from around 5,600 EL at Cliff Creek near Redwood Meadow Grove up the Black Rock Pass at around 11,700. The North Peak gaurding the pass is 12,172 according to the USGS. Tallest nearby mountain following the saddle north is Lippincott Mtn at 12,265 thus putting the Col at the saddle around 11780 and the deepest saddle north of Mount Eisen at around 11,300. Mount Eisen is the peak just north of this peak but with a peak of only 12,150 +/- so used Lippincott Mtn. instead.
