This peak has no official name. Some people feel that the best name is "Goat Mountain", since that is the name used by the locals, and the name "Mount Seton" was invented in 2005 by the webmaster at

The "Mount Seton" name has become more prevalent recently, due to its use on websites like Wikipedia and Google Maps, so this web site has changed its policy to use that name. Also, "Goat Mountain" is a terribly overused place name, with thousands of them sprinkling the mountains of the English-speaking world. A more unique name is always welcome.

When the Canadian or B.C. government comes up with an official ruling, this site will be updated with the chosen name.
