Note that the true summit of Inner Constance is not the point marked 7667' on the USGS topographic map, but instead it's the closed contour just to the northeast. These two points are only 300 horizontal feet apart, but the terrain here is very rugged. Parties that aim for the southwest peak find themselves off-route and with no easy access to the higher summit.
