DescriptionPretty River Valley Provincial Park, a 1979 acre irregularly shaped "natural environment class" park located 10km southwest of Collingwood, encompasses a number of land parcels - all as shown on the "Ontario-Basic Map" and on the "Ontario Crown Land Use Policy Atlas, P4479". Although a non-operating park without facilities, limited activities is allowed (hiking, fishing, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling). Camping is not permitted. The park provides a huge network of trails including the Bruce Trail's - Blue Mountain Section. The Park's High Point is at the north-central part of the park with easy trail access (300m) from the north side trailhead at the corner of 6th Sideroad/2nd Line. The Pretty River Valley is part of the Niagara Escarpment Parks System, thereby having the same representative examples of the Escarpment's cliff/ravine habitats.
