Description

This is the highest point in this public park Denver Mountain Park (DMP) and his the highlight observation point of this public space. It is a rocky pinnacle slab formation with about 70 feet of prominence. Measured by GPS top elevation varied between 8235 and 8245 but the USGS map does not show a 8240 contour. Regardless with several measurements at or above, using 8240 as the top elevation. The saddle was measured several times with elevations on GPS varying from 8160 to 8179 so once again, interpolating the USGS map and splitting the difference the saddle is 8170 plus or minus 5-10 feet. This is a well used observation point of rock that should be in the database as it is common destination on public land. The higher Independence Mountain is NOT on public land
