DescriptionKhao Chong Krachok (เขาช่องกระจก) is a seaside pinnacle of rock, topped by the Wat Thamikaran Buddhist temple. In addition to holding religious and historic significance, the hill boasts spectacular views of the coastline. A long flight of stairs leads from City Hall to the top.
Innumerable macaque monkeys live on the hill. Don't try to get chummy with them; they aren't friendly or harmless. It is customary, and officially encouraged, to purchase corn and beans from street vendors near the entrance gate; use it to bribe and distract the monkeys. Try to pace yourself such that you don't run out before you reach the exit. The monkeys are hostile to deadbeats.
