Borrego Ridge overlooks Downtown Borrego Springs and is one of the more popular hikes in the area. A three mile loop starts from either Hellhole Canyon Parking area or Church Lane near Downtown Borrego Springs. Some guidebooks refer to Borrego Ridge as "Church Spur", although the spur behind the churches with a trail leading to the prominent hilltop cross is a separate formation. There is a Benchmark marked BOR 16 at the Borrego Ridge highpoint.
