Fred BeckeyJanuary 14, 1923 - Düsseldorf, Germany / October 30, 2017 - Seattle, WA, USAFred Beckey was a northwest climbing legend and guidebook author. He was never a peakbagger at all, preferring instead challenging first ascents of peaks and routes. Still, his résumé of peaks is extremely impressive and would be the envy of any peakbagger.
The climb log data on this site is from Fred's book "Challenge of the North Cascades" (Seattle, 1969: The Mountaineers) and is not comprehensive, especically for post-1968 climbs. In the near future, a more complete listing of Fred's ascents is planned for this site.
