After successfully climbing 3 of the world's highest mountains, I've decided to take my shot at k2 and was unsuccessful due to severe weather conditions and risk of ice fall at the bottleneck. Fixed ropes were not checked which cost us time and oxygen and on a summit bid that's too much time. It was very frustrating. I'm 28 now and don't climb anymore due to income and logistics. Annapurna both times we've encountered severe weather with whiteout conditions and frigid temperatures. high winds caused an impossible decent or accent to the summit. Frustrating! So much has to be right and with unpredictable bad weather and avalanche danger in high camp, the expedition to the summit left us perplexed and constrained and without a doubt not possible.
