Ascent Trip Report

2h10 up, 5 chilly mins on top, 1h30 down. Parked 7.0km from start having followed main forest road all the way. Kept L at 4.7, as per Petter's instructions (since updated) - should have kept R at 6.8m keeping to main road. Going straight at that junction I quickly ran into a rough section, turned and parked (N41.10240° E33.82572°, 1650m), continuing on foot. Parking higher as per Petter, would have avoided sheep dog issues.

My route worked well, as per GPS track, met shepherd on way up - BUT 5 fierce sheep dogs on way down, which he seemed unable to control. Detour L got me accidentally onto Petter's route, but dogs harried me down past the camp (a Salaam from the lady but still no dog control), dogs finally slinking off when I started videoing them with my phone!

Chilly and thick cloud on top, I agree with Petter that the first summit is higher, by c2m. Grey lighting good for photographing wild flowers, of which there were many, compensating for lack of views. Also nice view of black redstart.

NOTE: OpenStreetMap shows loop trail coming from SE. However I saw no sign on the ground (didn't look too hard) and it's pretty steep rough terrain, so Petter's route is likely easiest.

Afternoon and evening spent driving south for Geyik tomorrow.
