| Elevation:||7073 ft / 2155 m|
Ascent Trip Report1h20 up, 4h RT. From N side. After night in a Salihli hotel.
From Bozdag village a road leads up to ski resort, initially tarmac then unpaved, good smooth surface. At a col, right turn descends gently to resort, ahead an obvious road zigzagging up a spur to the summit will be our route. Resort entrance barriers closed but not locked; we open the righthand barrier and park in tatty parking area on uphill side of hotel, just before bridge leading to ski lift - N38.33222° E28.11304°, is our trailhead. Apart from lifts and hotel, all is derelict. Dogs barking, men appear at window, presumably security; we point up to mountain, all's friendly.
Starting 0710 we follow R bank of dry stream bed to find our intended service road, in summer used only on foot; provides straightforward route to top. At 1900m the road makes a long switchback left. Would be possible to head straight up to summit on steep rough ground; we stay on the road which swings back R along ridge which is scruffy with sacking strewn about. Bouldery cairn is highpoint; natural highpoint is in this vicinity or by top station to NE. Viewpoint cairn to SW with Turkish flag is lower.
Hand level suggests the E summit is a little lower as per previous reports. We go there, hand level and GPS support the 2145m cited; GPS derived prominence 103m. Cairn with flag, much nicer peak than the higher one. North ridge looks good too so we descend that way, nice arete with easy scrambling. Descent to hotel fairly rough: best to descend directly down fall line: we descend too early and have to traverse right across several shallow gullies with a little scrambling, some spiny vegetation lower down. All quiet at hotel; no dogs or security.
Our 4 hours quite leisurely; straight up and down could be half that time.
Afternoon spent driving N for Uludag with a leisurely lunch en route.
