Ascent Trip Report

This is an easy walk-up from US129/GA44 opposite from Harris Morton Rd and north of North Cross Rd (north of the city of Gray GA). There is a barbed-wire fence along the roadside at the crest of the hill, but it can be bypassed 100 yards northeast. There are two 690 contours in this pasture about 200 yards apart. I walked into the saddle between the two and thought the larger roadside contour looked clearly higher. It rises probably 8 feet from the road (spot elevation 687) and about 5 feet from where I stood on the 690 contour. Those are good indications that the hilltop elevation is 695. The smaller northwestern contour is flat-topped and barely reaches 690.
