|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||9018 ft / 2748 m|
Ascent Trip ReportWe (Ela Schmidt and myself) did this in a one day push. Starting at the Main Eagle Trailhead we hiked in on trail #1922 until we hit the base of the mountain just west of the summit. At that point we were at 7000 feet. From there we scrambled up the hillside through trees, rocks and marshy ground about 700 feet to a sloping valley with an excellent view of the west side of Needle Point. If you were coming from the Cached Lake route, this is where our route and that one converge. On the left side is an easy ramp (with some snow when we did it) then a traverse to the right to get on the west face. All in all, the hardest climbing was that first 700 feet upon leaving the trail. The rest was remarkable easy.
There was no summit register that we were able to find. The summit is very nice, about 60 feet long and 20 feet wide with some very good views of many peaks.
