Ascent of 7821 on 2018-07-07
|Date:||Saturday, July 7, 2018|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||7821 ft / 2383 m|
Ascent Trip ReportTook trail to near Copper Glance lake then cross country to a couple of tarns to the west. From the tarns it's a lot of boulder hopping to the snow finger leading towards Point 8011'. About half way up the snow slope I got out ice axe and microspikes. Nice snow climb in alpine setting until the snow ends, loose scree above to the crest of Isabella ridge, slow and tiring.
Descended about 400' to ridge leading to 7821' on easy scree then along ridge avoiding steep areas to climers left.
No evidence of previous ascents though apparently has been climbed but mine was very likely a first ascent route.
About 5000' accumulated gain and 10 miles RT, 9.5 hours with breaks.
