Ascent Trip Report

Bob Schwab's trip report from 2014 is still spot-on. From the entrance to the National Monument, drive south on US 89 2.4 miles to the buildings on the left (east) side of the highway, mentioned by Bob. Turn into a dirt track running parallel to the board fence for about 800 feet or thereabouts until you come to a gap in the fence. The gap is between the south fence and the west fence and is about 2 feet wide. There is a fairly new-looking wooden surveyor's stake in the middle of the gap. I thought the highest ground was along the west fence, but it's pretty indistinct. Do the best you can.
