Ascent Trip ReportOn trip to visit Hayley during her summer internship in Paris (4 days in Paris and train to Strasbourg- wonderful little town)- we decided to bag 3 country highpoints. We drove from Paris to Brugges Belgium (gorgeous town)- spent 2 days there. Then on to Maastricht Netherlands (also gorgeous) for 3 days. On the way we bagged our first country highpoint- Signal de Botrange in Belgium. Stood next to original highpoint monument and also climbed stone steps to higher monument marking the 700 meter mark. Took lots of photos- then drove our rental car down the country road to a wonderful inn for an outdoor lunch. |
