Ascent Trip Report

The summit is perhaps 200 feet off the highway and is easily reachable in less than one minute. However, our ascent took longer as we debated which summit-area rock is the true highpoint. This peak has no prominence since it is not enclosed by a contour line. The summit elevation is between -240 feet and -200 feet, not -180 feet as reported. The USGS GNIS (Geographic Names Information System) has assigned an elevation of -233 feet (, search for Feature ID:1667292).
