Ascent Trip Report

Don't let anyone fool you. This is a hard hike. Ski slopes have awesome views but they go straight up with no switchbacks.Once you attain the ridge the ski slope meets up with the AT, so it turns from grass and gravel to rocks and ledges. There is a steep drop-off on the way to the Horn. Wide open views on both sides. You can see for miles in every direction. It does take an effort though.
