Ascent Trip Report

Left the Spruceton Trail at a point before the hairpin turn and took a compass bearing for the summit, approaching it from the south. Saw no evidence of herd paths anywhere from this direction and it was a pretty stiff climb to the summit. The canister area was pretty thickly wooded and took some searching around to find it. Took a more eastern route into Ox Hollow coming down, meeting the Spruceton Trail just above the hairpin turn. Overall it was a hot and buggy hike, but glad to have it under my belt after unsuccessful attempt last August.
