Ascent Trip ReportThere are various points where you can start this ascent. I found a convenient car park at the end of an unnamed road up to Higher Hopcott. From here a bridleway leads, initially steeply, but easily to the MacMillan Way footpath on the ridgeline at point 291. From there a track runs west. This is a another hill where the trig point is not the top and is hidden in the trees.
I first found the trig and then looked for the 297 spot height. I floundered again in the trees where this is hidden. There is no marker to say you are there and the ground is all fairly level. I continued thrashing around in the trees until I was certain that I must have been at the highest point and then retreated back to the car the same way.
