Really the GPS track that Dennis Poulin has on this site is your only option. Most of the checkered road tracks have been reclaimed by the Earth taking advantage of years of neglect. Even so there's some unlocked gates you'll have to navigate and come prepared with some clearance for the periodic deep grass running along the center of the track after you leave the main road.
The cross country bit is easy enough, though. Patches of low and high grass with no technical obstacles. One final unposted fence will have to be surmounted right before the final slog up the western most bump but really this is an easy hike on a seldom visited CoHP.
