Ascent Trip ReportMy pal Moore and I drove to Taos from Dallas and spent the night in town. Drove to trailhead by the Bavarian and hit the trail at 6am (an hour later than we wanted to). Awesome hike! The views on the way up were incredible. Turned and looked down at the lake on a few switchbacks. Steep at the top and windy once we hit the ridge, but for some reason and gladly, no wind at the peak. We reached the peak in 2 hours 45 minutes. Took a few pics, signed the register, met another hiker at the top took a pic for him then headed back down. Coming down was quick and we crossed paths with several other groups on the way. Back to the car and on the road by 1030am. This was one of my favorite highpoints!
