Ascent Trip ReportAbsolutely beautiful day on the trail. Not a cloud in the sky and a pleasant breeze throughout the hike. Used this as a last tune up before hiking Mt. Whitney in a few weeks. Hike took about 7.5 hours to complete with a couple stops on the way up and a half hour stop on the summit for pictures, food, and a signature on the register. Cruised down from the summit without stopping and definitely felt the ~16 miles in the feet, knees, and hips even though the trail itself was super smooth and didn't have any major stretches of brutal incline. In terms of nutrition, I took in 2.5 liters of plain water, ~36 oz. of a diluted sports drink, and ate a snickers and lara bar on the ascent. At the summit I ate a pb/j, an apple, and some tuna/crackers.
