Ascent Trip ReportDrove through a small piece of Wyoming on my way from Nebraska's highpoint to South Dakota's. Beautiful drive! Reached the Sylvan Lake parking area and got on the trail at 10am. I really got after it on this hike passing other hikers on the way up and down. Reached the top of Black Elk Peak, took pictures, and was back to the lot by 1230. Awesome views at the top! Tons of good views of large rock formations on the trail also. Headed to ND next.
