Ascent Trip Report

I followed the Hemphill Bald Trail 4.5 miles eastbound to the summit, which has a spectacular 180-degree view toward Asheville. On the way back, I wanted to bag several of the adjacent peaks but succeeded on only Little Bald Knob before storms prevented further explorations. The attached GPS track is from my 6-mile return, which includes the side trips.
