Ascent Trip ReportFollowed Richard Carey's driving and hiking description to climb this peak. I agree with Richard that this was a nice peak climb. I would add that I approached from Hwy 97, turning south onto the paved road with signage for the town of Tennent. This turn is a little west of the Mt. Hebron summit on Hwy 97. Drive towards Tennant some 10+ miles to Forest Road 43N06. On some topo maps, including My Topo, there are two turnoffs for FR 43N06.
The correct one to take is the second one, which passes near Ken Del Ranch. From here, Richard's directions worked well.
I had quite a bit of snow to trudge through on the final steep 800 feet of the climb. But it was late afternoon and the snow was soft, so I did not need to pull out the crampons I was carrying.
