Ascent Trip Report***Sierra Club Outing***
led by Mat Kelliher, May Tang, Larry Pond
Great hike on a gorgeous day! The road in to Thorn Campground was in good shape and passable with HCV, actually HCV was only really needed when crossing the streams (I think we crossed it at 4 spots). The trail was in really good shape too. Following Thorn we drove over to the Pine Canyon campground and parked there for San Guillermo. That road was also in great shape and didn't even really require HCV. It was a bit vague finding the route at first, but soon we got up onto a good use trail that took us all the way up to the summit. San Guillermo was Bob Stuard's 200th HPS Peak! May was up front all the way up and down both peaks.
