Ascent Trip ReportAnother easy short extra credit peak if you are hiking in the Springer Mountain area. Parked at the AT parking lot, I headed in the opposite direction of the AT this time and followed a use trail that deadened but was in sight of the gravel road. The USGS map shows several trails/4 wheel drive roads all intersecting near the curve in the gravel road. This became my new trailhead. It is a little confusing at first with some many options but the trail up this peak is well defined and goes to the summit in short order and has no views. |
