Ascent Trip ReportMt Parke Park is apparently the most popular hiking trail network on Mayne Island. As such, we saw no other humans car-to-car. Using the great trail network, we made a nice loop hike of this one. Fantastic views of the surrounding islands and Olympic Range! The high point is just outside the fenced-in area south of the helipad and south of where it is indicated on this website. A fine hike and great peak to end our Gulf Islands vacation! Following lunch, we ended our trip with a stroll out to St John Point on the SE corner of the island, another wonderful hike! |
