Ascent Trip Reportthe weather changed my plans for the day and i wanted a bit more exercise, so i went for this peak. NF-166 is easily accessible. however the road visible on the USGS map is abandoned. it's probably still accessible via OHV or a narrow vehicle, but unless you want scratches you probably don't want to drive it. i hiked it instead.
you can probably climb yellow cone from any direction. the surface is a bit loose, but easily managed.
the road to the radio tower to the east is well maintained, and could shave some distance off this short hike.
