Ascent Trip ReportEasy and surprisingly good views. After completing Gold Mountain which is a long slog for very few views, I did this extra credit across the road from the main parking lot for Gold and Green Mountains. There is a gate but no signs saying not to climb this. You can run up the maintenance roadway past all the downed logs and you end up circling to the backside of this small hill and having totally unobstructed views of the snow covered glaciers of the peaks on Olympia peninsula. Uneventful. 1 mile up and just short of a 300 foot prominence peak. |
