Ascent Trip Report

From Davenport Road, I ascended on the Davenport, Ridge, and Adams Mtn Trails. Just before the summit, I took the short side trail to the southeast view, and I was pretty impressed. There is a good view of the nearby rolling terrain, with only limited signs of civilization visible. You can see the ski resort off to the south, one wind turbine tower, and maybe a farmstead or two, but the town of Charlemont is hidden from view. I continued to the viewless summit, and descended on the Adams Mtn Trail to the Davenport Trail back to my starting point. There are many other trails here to explore, and the lower Todd Mtn, plus at least one other view point shown on the map, so there are plenty of good reasons to come back someday.
