Ascent Trip ReportVery nice little hike!
We parked by the north trailhead off of road 30. The trail starts off steep, gaining quickly in the first 0.3 miles. You then come to an opening with a view and a rock pillar to your right. The trail goes left, but if you go around the rock pillar to the right, you will find a bench that overlooks the forest and valley.
Once back on the trail, you will eventually come to an opening with a view towards Mt Hood. It was raining when we did this peak, so we did not see much, however do plan on returning for sunnier weather. The high point is probably close to this overlook, although on peakbagger it is located a few hundred yards south on the ridge. We also walked to where peak bagger lists the high point, although I doubt it actually is correct.
This peak is well worth a hike, as it offers a nice trail that some might consider "challenging" because of it's steepness.
