Ascent Trip ReportAfter hiking over mont Saint-Bruno's northern bump, I descended to the col and started the ascent to the true summit. The open deciduous woods were easy to navigate and it wasn't long until I was on the ridge. From there I went over a few bumps although generally uphill all the way to a wide, flat trampled dirt area that looked like the summit. I didn't linger around and started downhill, heading straight down the west slope. A few minutes later I was back on the gravel path, surprising an older man that was walking along. Heading around lac des Bouleaux in a counter-clockwise direction, I was soon passed by a man, jogging.
At first I had no intention of following him but I then decided to catch up as his pace seemed easy to follow. We reached the junction at the northwestern tip of the lake and headed south towards the cabin. When we reached it, the man stopped for a pause and we chatted briefly before I resumed my run downhill. I crossed many people now that it was slightly later, and I saw tons of high-school kids with notepads, seemingly on some sort of field trip. I went through both junctions at lac Seigneurial and slowed down on the uphill over near the ski slopes.
After the short uphill section, I started running again all the way to the parking lot. After a short break to cool down, I took the road towards my next goal, hill 71, located nearby in Saint-Amable.
