Ascent Trip ReportTook the dog for a multi-hike exploration of the peaks in the Boulder area near Sanitas. The spring crowds were ridiculous and I would have ranked this hikes higher if there was not so much traffic. Runners everywhere and many many dogs. The city allows dogs off leash if they are in voice control. So despite the lovely views of the valley we headed up to the Dakota Ridge where there was a little less traffic. Parking is a tough. I was able to find one at he hospital which does not appear to be a hospital anymore.
Like much of this area, there were many areas where you could scramble or boulder along the ridge. Near the terminus of the Dakota Ridge is the peak on a small outcropping. Willie could not scramble up the last 10 feet so enjoyed food and water.
Then off to do the Sanitas |
