Ascent Trip Report

While driving by Tiny Town amusement area, I noticed a small brown sign that looked like the standard Jefferson County open space signs you see cryptically hidden just behind and to the left of the parked caboose. Karen parked the car and I went over and read the sign and it verified that it was public land and steep. No fencing or signage to prevent you from a steep bushwhack. I started up the class 2 slopes and found a steep a line that eventually gave some nice class 3 scrambles. Played around on class 2+ and 3 and one section of very steep 3 and then found the ridge and hiked up class 1+ to the summit. This small 100+ prominence subpeak has nice views of Tiny Town below. There are no trails in this public land but many deer trails. It is a steep bushwhack. IT is about a 500 foot climb in a half mile
