Ascent Trip ReportThe trailhead is up Adobe Canyon Road in Sonoma County, near the town of Kenwood, to a small parking lot for Mt Hood (Sugarloaf Ridge State Park). You will need to pay an $8 fee to park, and they do ticket so watch out.
This area was severely burned in the October 2017 Sonoma County Fires. But the land is recovering, although i hiked through many areas of burned forest. Wildflowers - birds-eye gilia, poppy, goldfields, and near the summit, one of the largest displays of Fremont Lilly that I have ever seen, coving acres. Also a nice globe lilly. The summit doesn't have much for views, but did not burn too much.
A nice hike!
