Ascent Trip ReportWe came in from Hwy AZ-83, following rough tracks to a point west of "The Lake", about two miles northeast of the summit. Casterlin's FJ was critical to manage these roads. We walked the remainder of the tracks to near Point 5109, then dropped to a saddle, then up grassy slopes to Point 5420. From here, we just followed the NE ridge to the top. The slopes were steep with grass and rubbly rock, but no cliffs. Great views in all directions. |
