Ascent Trip ReportVery nice hike. There were about two feet of snow starting from the trailhead, so I put my snowshoes on right when I got out of the car and left them on for the duration of the trip. Fortunately, the trail was extremely broken out, so it went a lot quicker than expected. I was the only one on the mountain the whole time I was there, and it was awesome to just stop and listen to the sound of complete silence. Winter hiking may be harder, but it gives you unparalleled solitude. Unfortunately, it was pretty cloudy at the summit and the wind was blowing pretty hard, so I didn't linger too long. Went back down the same way I came up. Overall, an easy 5.4 miles with 1862 feet of elevation gain at 2.1 mph.
