Ascent Trip Report

i followed ken jones route. although this is a short hike, you will have to work for it. steep, cacti, and some scrambling. it was a lot more fun than i expected. views are nice.

i'm attaching the track from my drive out. gmaps has lots of roads in the area, but it's not aware of which roads are maintained and which aren't. ken jones' directions work great though, and that's what the track represents. some of the roads are paved, but most are well maintained dirt. any car should be able to make it to the jan and hensz intersection: beyond that the road starts to become rocky, and all-terrain tires and moderate clearance is recommended.
