Ascent Trip ReportLast weekend, I did the southern-most SPS peak in a snowstorm. This weekend I did the northern-most SPS peak in a snowstorm. I started from just past the parking area near the dam and put on snowshoes about half a mile later. I mostly followed roads until the last bit. The thick wet new snow was mixing in with the old snow which made for an exhausting hike. Bushwhack and scramble near the top was particularly annoying in snowy conditions, but was done without incident. About 15-16 miles RT.
