Ascent Trip ReportI climbed Toco as a warmup hike for Licancabur. We left my hotel in San Pedro de Atacama around 7:45am. We left the parking area at 10:30am, summited at 12:25pm, and returned to the truck at 2:00pm. Our group pace was very slow, but it was good for acclimatization as this was the highest I'd ever hiked (I previously reached ~16,500ft in Peru in November). There was quite a bit of snow to deal with, but not enough to warrant the use of crampons. We reached the summit ahead of most of the large groups and started descending as they were arriving.
