Ascent Trip ReportFinished my Lake George 12ster challenge today! There were 13 of us in the group doing Sleeping Beauty and Erebus (Tina, Maryellen, Stephanie, Amy, Nancy, Rita, Sonja, Eric A., Jason, Alison & Rich and Matt-plus Hazel of course). We did SB first and then down to Bumps Pond, over to Fishbrook Pond, and then Erebus. Only microspikes needed for the day. A lot of ice but the temps were in the 30s and the spikes worked well. This was also Rita's regular finish and Amy's winter finish. Stephanie took a great picture of me going through the poles to mark my finish. Started at 7:15 and were out by about 3:45. Beautiful blue skies and sun for more than half the day. Fun group! |
