Ascent Trip ReportParked on Angeles Forest Highway just north of Aliso Canyon Road. Followed faint use trail into catch basin and bushwacked through drainage northward up to saddle on ridge at 4320 feet. From there followed ridge toward the east to the summit. The hike was steep, but the use trail was easy to follow. I could hear shooting at a gun range off in the distance. Took several breaks along the way as the trail offered no shade. Once on the summit looked around and signed the register. Descended along the same trail to the car.
The peak was not interesting and if not for being on the HPS list would not have been hiked.
